The Thorp Locker Plant and Soda Fountain was purchased in 1948, by Doc Nolechek. In 1952, Bill, Sr. and his wife, Dee began developing and acquiring recipes for ham, bacon, and sausage. Bill, Sr. took great pride in hand crafting the highest quality products possible. Recipes that we still use today, four generations later; made in the same time honored tradition and with the same quality ingredients.
On January 2nd 1974, the business was incorporated and Nolechek's Meats became the official name. In 1992, Bill, Sr. began to transition the business over to his two sons, Bill and Kelly. The brothers have proudly taken on the challenge to uphold the quality and reputation that their parents had built. They expanded the number of products and focused on growing and changing with the times.
In 2014, Bill's daughter, Lindsey, returned to the business after a seven year career as a funeral director. Since then Nolechek's team has focused on the future of the business, while reflecting on the history and legacy that has been passed down over the years. In September 2019, Chad, Kelly's son, returned and brings with him a decade of knowledge and experience as a Master Meat Crafter.
Our products are second to none and we proudly ship our sausage, hams, and bacon nationwide. The team is ready to share Nolechek's story with people who appreciate quality, gourmet products.
